Following a series of injuries across various leagues Forth Celtic strongly discourage the use of micro shin pads in all our underage games.
Having witnessed first hand at Matt ennis park the devasting injury to a visiting player and need for ambulance attendance the underage coaches firmly believe the use of micro shin pads should be discouraged.
The potential for laceration and even more devasting injuries is certainly on the increase since the micro shin pad became popular.
